Another round of snow

The Moorestown Recreation Department has cancelled several games scheduled for today due to inclement weather.

The following games have been cancelled, according to the recreation department’s Web site.

All fourth and fifth grade girls’ games scheduled for noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. The Upper Elementary School.

All sixth, seventh and eighth grade girls games scheduled for 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., and 5 p.m. at the Recreation center.
All third grade boys and girls games scheduled for 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 p.m. at WAMS.

All seventh and eighth grade boys games at 4 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m.

All games that have been cancelled have been rescheduled for Saturday, March 5.

Second grade basketball clinics at UES and fifth and sixth grade boys games at the recreation center will all be played as scheduled today.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 10 p.m. tonight, according to the National Weather Service.

A total of two to four inches is expected, with the snow tapering into flurries this evening.

A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or ice will cause travel difficulties . Residents should be cautious of potentially hazardous driving conditions.

Three to five inches of snow is expected during the day in Moorestown, with the possibility for another inch before 11 p.m. Saturday night.

The NWS released this advisory for areas under the winter storm watch: Snow would stick to roadways, especially but not exclusively untreated ones. Snowfall rates would cause the visibility to drop to or below one-half mile for a period of time. Driving would become hazardous.
