Crews from PSE&G are working along Evesham Road near the intersection with Berlin Road as part of a long-term project to replace utility poles in the township, according to Cherry Hill officials. The roadway is open, however, lane restrictions are in place. Cherry Hill police are on-site monitoring and directing traffic flow. Work is expected to remain at this location through Thursday afternoon and could last through Friday.
According to PSE&G, about 330 poles will be replaced by the project’s completion — stretching from the Lawnside border (work that began earlier this week) to the Mount Laurel border. Work began Monday along Evesham Road and will progress north to Springdale Road. Crews will then continue west on Springdale until Mount Laurel.
Work is scheduled between 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays. The Cherry Hill Police Department is working with company officials to coordinate any necessary lane closures and minimize disruptions to the daily traffic flow.
