Firefighter recognized for academic achievement

Firefighter Donald “Mike” Carmody was awarded the James E. Sylvester Award for Academic Achievement at the Camden County Fire Academy graduation last week. The award, presented by the Camden County Fire Chiefs and Officers Association, recognizes his achievement of the Highest Grade Point Average in the Firefighter 1 training class for 2010. The officers and fellow volunteer firefighters of Haddon Fire Company №1 congratulated Mike on this great accomplishment. He is pictured with his mom, Valerie Carmody.
