Obituary: Frederick W. Binder

On Nov. 22, 2010, age 83, of Haddonfield and Ocean City, and the beloved husband of Doris (nee Neill). Loving father of, Barbara B. Salter (David), of Haddonfield, Nancy B. Tornetta (Joseph), of Blue Bell, Pa., and Frederick W. Jr. (Colleen), of Haddonfield. Also survived by seven grandchildren, Christopher (Emily), and Timothy Salter, Kristin and Michael Tornetta, and Matthew, Nicholas and Alexis Binder, and one sister, Diann Morey (Edwin), of Kutztown, Pa.

Mr. Binder had been a Haddonfield resident and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in town for more than 40 years. He was a graduate of Ursinus College and a Quartermaster in the Navy during World War II. Additionally, Mr. Binder had been the president of the family business, Graphic Arts Inc., in Philadelphia for many years. He was also past president of the Philadelphia Graphic Arts Association and served on their board for many years.

Mr. Binder had been a past president of the Haddonfield Y”s Men’s Club and since 1968 a member of Tavistock Country Club. He also coached little league baseball in Haddonfield. Always a great sports fan, Mr. Binder loved the Phillies and Eagles, but most especially loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports.

Mr. Binder’s family will receive friends, Saturday, Nov. 27, from 9:30–10:45 a.m., in the Sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church, 20 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield. Services will follow at 11 a.m.

Interment will be private.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the church at the above address.
