The following items were taken from reports on file with the Haddonfield Police Department:
A Kings Highway East pharmacy employee reported to police on March 10 at 10:34 a.m. that a male was observed shoplifting and ran out of the rear exit of the store. The employee described the male as having scruffy facial hair and was wearing a maroon hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, and was carrying a blue bag with a black vest.
An officer was dispatched to the PATCO station and saw a man walking toward him that met the description of the shoplifter. He stopped the suspect and asked him if he had been in the pharmacy, to which he replied he had not. He advised the suspect he was going to pat him down and he found several cans of baby formula on his person. The pharmacy employee said the suspect had stolen several cans of formula, and he was placed under arrest.
While being transported to the station, the suspect said, “I did it. I took the stuff,” voluntarily while he was in the police car. When at the station he gave three different names, five different Social Security numbers, and numerous dates of birth.
While being transported to the Haddon Township police department to be scanned by the “LiveScan” equipment, the suspect gave the officer his real identification card. He was found to have 12 outstanding warrant and was in violation of his parole.
He was charged with shoplifting and outstanding warrant and was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 bail.
A Haddonfield Memorial High School employee reported to police on March 5 at 4:54 p.m. that 35 boys lacrosse uniform shorts had been stolen from the junior varsity football locker room. They had been stored there since last season.
The total stolen was $648, the employee reported. He estimated about five to 10 employees had keys to the locker room. There was no evidence of forced entry.
A Kings Highway East pharmacy employee reported to police on March 6 at 1:43 p.m. that a white female suspect wearing a red and blue hooded sweatshirt with a “Beach Patrol” logo on the back of the garment walked out of the store with a pair of jeans she had not paid for.
The employee said the suspect had stolen from the store before on Feb. 19 at 12:56 p.m. The jeans were “It” jeans and cost $85.
A call came into the police department on March 5 at 9:25 p.m. reporting an underage drinking party on Warwick Road. An officer arrived at the scene and found the door to the home wide open. When he entered the home several suspects ran out of the house.
Searching the house the officer found several empty beer and vodka containers and a cell phone on the ground.
The officer searched the phone and found the homeowners’ phone number in the directory. He was able to contact the homeowner, who told the officer that he had been out of town since March 1.
He told the officer that there should not have been a party at his house and his daughter was most likely on the premises or at her mother’s house.
The officer went to the mother’s home after securing the house.
He contacted the mother and apprised her of the situation. The daughter was not at the house, but the mother said she was probably at a friend’s house.
The officer went to the friend’s house where he found the two juvenile girls.
Neither juvenile had been drinking, but they admitted to being at the home. The officer took the juvenile suspect back to her mother’s house.
He advised the mother that charges would be mailed to her daughter for hosting an underage drinking party.
