On Tuesday, March 23, at 7:30 p.m., the Haddonfield Memorial High School auditorium will be filled with the sound of music.
Please join us for a special concert dedicated to the choral art. Performers will include the Middle School Chorale, the HMHS Concert, Treble, and Chamber Choirs, Bijoux, Voicemale, CoEd, and Totally Treble.
As a grand finale, all singers will join together to perform “Al Shlosha D’Varim,” Alan Naplan’s setting of the Jewish maxim “The world is sustained by three things: by truth, by justice, and by peace.”
Kristine Biller Mattson will be the guest artist for the evening. While studying on full scholarship at Indiana University, Mattson performed the roles of Micaela in “Carmen,” Mimi in “La Boheme,” Princess Ninetta in “Love for Three Oranges,” Adina in “L’Elisir d’Amore” and Manon in “Manon.”
Since then she has sung with orchestras and opera companies all across the U.S., including the world premiere tour of the opera Margaret Garner.
Upcoming performances include singing the soprano soloist parts in Mahler’s 2nd and 8th Symphonies with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra in New Zealand.
At Haddonfield Sings!, Ms. Mattson will sing the beautiful aria “O mio babbino caro” as well as “Make Our Garden Grow” from Bernstein’s Candide with the HMHS Concert Choir.
Admission to Haddonfield Sings! is free, and the doors will open at 7 p.m.
