Greater Tuna Feb. 11 to 22

The bad boys of the Collaborative Act Studio are back! That’s right… the lads that brought you The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), Chris Melhon, Kevin Hurry, and Pat King are ready to bring you Greater Tuna like you’ve never experienced it before. Directed by Chris Melhon, Greater Tuna takes us on a journey through a day in the life of Tuna, the third smallest town in Texas, in an evening Varity hails as “Hawlingly Funny!” Tuna is the sort of place where the Lions Club is viewed as suspiciously liberal and the annual high school essay contest produces entries titled “Human Rights — Why Bother” and “Living with Radiation.” This affectionate withering satire on small-town life features two men playing the entire cast of over twenty eccentric characters of all genders and ages, making for one heck of a hell fire tour de farce of quick change artistry and characterization shifts faster then a jack rabbit runs from a coyote. Two actors, twenty characters and a barrel of laughs!

Join us for a trip to the town where’s it is ok to laugh at the people we love, in this hilarious send-up of morals and mores as we cook up the jokes and serve‘em with a little bit of “Tex” appeal!

Performance dates are Feb. 11 to 13, 18 to 20, 26 and 27 at 8 p.m., and Feb. 14 and 20, at 2 p.m. at Fusion Performing Arts Center, 1931 Olney Avenue, Suite 100, Cherry Hill.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for seniors. Visit www.tcastudio.com or call 417–6741 for tickets.
