Patricia Egan Jones Surrogate of Camden County will sponsor two Adoption Days to increase awareness about adoption in New Jersey and celebrate National Adoption Day, Nov. 21.

Cherry Hill Mall will host Adoption Day on Saturday, Nov. 14 in Grand Court. Voorhees Town Center will host “Adoption Day” on Sunday, November 15 in Boscov’s Court. Each event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Special guests include Finley and Blooper, mascots of the Camden Riversharks, along with representatives from the Camden Aquarium.

Representatives from various adoption agencies will be on hand to supply information and answer questions about adoption. Participating agencies include: County of Camden Surrogate’s Office, Adoptions from the Heart, Adoption ARC, Golden Cradle, Division of Youth & Family Services, Jewish Family and Children Services, Vera Hershenberg, Esq., NJ Mentor, Debbie Spivack, Esq. and Deena Betze, Esq.

International

Pearl S. Buck International will hold an international adoption information meeting from 10 am. to noon, Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Cherry Hill Public Library, 1100 Kings Highway North.

Designed for families and individuals interested in international adoption. Sponsored by Welcome House, which was founded by Pearl Buck in 1949, the seminar will build awareness of the specific process to adopt a child from another country. Welcome House currently has adoption programs in China, Costa Rica, Korea, Nepal, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and the Philippines.
