It’s time to nominate a former student or teacher for the Haddonfield Alumni Society’s prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
Over the past 14 years, the Alumni Society has honored 63 former students and 22 teachers from the Haddonfield school system by bestowing a Lifetime Achievement award upon them. The criteria for a former student is that they must have attended one of Haddonfield’s public schools for at least two years, must be out of high school for at least 20 years (they’re eligible even if they graduated from a high school other than HMHS) and have distinguished him/herself during the course of their adult life. If a teacher, they must have taught in the Haddonfield public school system for at least seven years.
Those wishing to nominate a former student should submit a letter of recommendation outlining the nominee’s achievements, along with any supporting letters/materials, to: Haddonfield Alumni Society, c/o HMHS, 401 Kings Hwy E, Haddonfield, NJ 08033.
Deadline for nominations is June 30. The recipients’ names are announced in September; awards are presented the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend.
Nomination forms (although not mandatory) are available on the Alumni
Society web site at www.h-a-s.org.
