Drexel partners with HMHS

Thanks to a partnership between the school district and Drexel University, HMHS students will be able to get a jump start on their college careers.
The board of education recently approved a new program with the university to offer college-level courses to interested HMHS students. Superintendent Alan Fegley said it will be beneficial for both sides and help give HMHS students a leg up going into their collegiate careers.
“We’re very excited about the possibilities that this dynamic partnership brings for the students and faculty of Haddonfield,” he said. “In some ways, it’s part of our effort to always improve the quality of education in Haddonfield and helps us strive toward becoming the premier school district in the state.”
Students will have the opportunity to apply for the Drexel University Visiting Scholars Program next year, a selective program that allows high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to take one college course per quarter free of tuition.
There are several requirements for admission into the program. Students must have a 3.75 cumulative GPA and Pre-SAT or SAT scores of at least 1,200 combined for math and critical reasoning.
