A community-wide Service of Remembrance is being readied by the grief support team at Moorestown Visiting Nurses & Hospice. The interfaith service will be held on Saturday, May 9 at 10 a.m. at Challenge Grove Park Pavilion, Cherry Hill.
Twice annually, Moorestown Visiting Nurses & Hospice remembers and honors lost loved ones through this moving service open to all members of the community. This spring’s program will include a special tribute to lost mothers, in recognition of Mother’s Day weekend. All those attending will have the opportunity to offer a spring flower in memory of their loved one. The flowers will later be fashioned into bouquets to brighten the day of home-bound patients of the organization.
Held rain-or-shine under the Challenge Grove Park Pavilion, the open-air service will include music by harpist Laura Dishong. Light refreshments will be offered following the service.
In past years, Moorestown Visiting Nurses & Hospice has reached out to the community with memorial services in both Burlington and Camden counties. May 9th marks the second time the non-denominational service will be held in Camden County’s Challenge Grove Park.
Limited seating is available at Challenge Grove, and those attending are encouraged to bring folding chairs if needed. For more information, or to register, please call 552–1300, extension 2707. All members of the public are welcome. There is no charge to attend.
Challenge Grove Park runs from the corner of Caldwell and Brace Roads, along Borton Mill Road in Cherry Hill. Parking is readily available, and the Pavilion area is completely accessible.
